How
Half Pint & Pee Wee Came to Be
Half Pint and Pee Wee were conceived in the magical mind of Charles Wages. Charles was a dedicated public school educator, a pastor of a non-denominational church, a WWII military veteran, but best of all, he was “papa” to three lucky little girls.
Whenever one of these girls encountered big feelings from the inevitable angst of growing up, Papa would invite her onto his lap, tickle her back, and weave a soothing tale that always began with, “Would you like to hear how our friends Half Pint and Pee Wee managed a predicament very similar to yours?”
These tales remained in Papa's mind and in the hearts of his granddaughters, never committed to print...
Until now!

As the four adventurers came to the school yard, Ollie Lanky, Pee Wee's favorite teacher, was quietly sitting under a tree by himself. Pee Wee interrupted the silence with, "Excuse me, Mr. Lanky. What are you doing out here?"
Mr. Lanky startled and replied, "I am listening to my inner voice, Pee Wee. Getting calm and quiet for a few minutes each day is how I process my emotions. Would you like to join me? All you have to do is sit quietly and notice what thoughts come into your brain."
